With the KHM hammer mill, different ground material can be produced depending on requirements, with a high or lower fine content. The mill control automatically regulates the optimal feeding and utilization of the mill for the various products. Depending on the desired grinding capacity and structure, it may be advisable to use several mills in parallel.

The KHM hammer mill is particularly distinguished by its vertical grinding mechanism, which offers significant advantages over conventional horizontal grinding mechanisms. The innovative design of the grinding screen increases the screen surface by 120% compared to conventional horizontal mills. This results in a 30% higher grinding capacity with the same drive power, or a correspondingly lower energy consumption.

The large screen surface ensures significantly lower temperatures during grinding, which minimizes condensation. Furthermore, the lower temperature is gentle on vitamins and minerals. Since the rotor rotates around the vertical axis, only minimal turbulence occurs, and dust development is reduced to a minimum. Thus, the use of a filter is not necessary. The design does not require a mill collection bin, as it is already integrated.
